An agricultural product or foodstuff is only allowed to be called organic if the production process complies with legal requirements.
The European government determines the rules, Skal checks whether these rules are complied with. This way the consumer can be assured that an organic product is truly organic. Skal oversees the entire organic chain, commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.
With this quality mark, the reliability of organic products is visible to the customer and the consumer.
GMP + is part of a global food safety system. The GMP + certificate has been internationally accepted by approximately 12,000 companies in 66 countries.
The GMP + FSA module guarantees the safety of animal feed and also ensures consumers that animal feed products are produced, processed, traded, stored and transported responsibly.
Conditions for the guarantee of feed safety are laid down in GMP + FSA standards. These standards are based on legislation and additional requirements from the market.
Fair Trade IBD guarantees organic farming and good working conditions for farmers and stimulates a fair price for them as well. Fair Trade IBD is about improving the living conditions of small farmers and increasing self-reliance - for example, attention is paid to the land rights of the indigenous population.
